Art, History & New England Charm Weekend of Culture in Boston, MA June 9-12, 2022

Art, History & New England Charm
Weekend
of Culture in Boston, MA
June 9-12, 2022

Join fellow art-full women for a weekend full of art, history and New England charm in the so-called “Athens” of America! Boston serves as the social, educational, historical and culinary capital of New England, but it is small enough to feel calm & quiet (compared to NYC), while also brimming with life & cultural attractions. Join us as we explore all of its charm, while also having the chance to bond with fellow art-full women.

Highlights of this 4-day weekend of culture trip include private, guided tours of the Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum and the Institute of Contemporary Art, self-guided visits of the ‘Turner’s Modern World’ exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts and the Glass Flowers at the Harvard Museum of Natural History, an optional duck tour (a classic Boston favorite!) and Remember the Ladies walking tour, plus the chance to explore all of the picture perfect Boston (& Cambridge) spots like Harvard Square, Newbury Street, the Boston Public Garden, Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. The itinerary has a nice mix of activities and optional down time to enjoy our hotel’s rooftop pool!

Since Boston is a relatively small city, and all of our activities are centrally located and accessible by the T or car service, attendees are invited to book their own air bnb accommodation and convene daily for our art-full activities and adventures.

All of our weekend of culture trips are carefully curated to give you a taste of the best art in our destination, while also giving you the chance to relax and fully enjoy without doing the planning yourself. They are a great way to connect more deeply with the other women in the community and create even more art-full memories together! Check out photos from past trips to the Berkshires, the Hudson River Valley, Washington, DC and the Hamptons.

FAQ's

What is NOT included in the cost of the trip?

No accommodation or transportation to/from Boston or within the city is included. Additionally, all meals, as well as any additional activities or ride services, are separate and must be paid individually. You should estimate at least $50+ per day to spend on food/drinks.

What if I don’t know anyone — do I need to come with a friend?

No! Most women attend our Weekend of Culture trips on their own, and the idea is that we will all get to know one another over the course of the weekend. However, please do let me know if you are coming with a friend with whom you would like to share a room.

Do I have to stay with the group/attend all pre-planned activities on the itinerary?

No, you are welcome to pick and choose though there will be no refunds for included activities that weren’t attended, and you will have to arrange your own transport/taxi if you would like to go somewhere separately from the group that involves driving.

How do I get to Boston from NYC?

If you have more time/want to save money, I recommend taking Amtrak from New York Penn Station to Boston South Station (approximately 15 minutes away from our hotel by car or 20 minutes by metro) in order to avoid airport/security headaches. Recommended trains -

Departing Thursday June 9th: Amtrak train #172 departs NY Penn station at 11am -> arrives Boston South Station at 3:18pm OR
Friday June 10th: Acela train #2152 from NY Penn Station at 9am -> arriving Boston South Station at 12:45pm

Returning on Sunday June 12th: Depart on Amtrak train #165 from Boston South Station at 3:10pm -> arriving NY Penn at 7:32pm

OR, if you are more limited on time, I recommend flying into Boston’s Logan airport (approximately 20 minutes away from our hotel by car or 45 minutes by metro). There are also numerous busses every day between NYC and Boston South Station.
