An Evening of Photography & Cocktails at Fotografiska: 4/21

  • Fotografiska 281 Park Avenue South New York, NY, 10010 United States (map)

Join us for an evening of female photography, featuring a private guided tour of the NUDE exhibit at the beautiful Fotografiska New York!

NUDE, from a female-identifying perspective is a collection of images that portray the body through beautiful, disruptive, and experimental lenses, seeking to subvert the historically predominant male gaze and celebrate the human form. 30 female-identifying artists from 20 different countries diversely explore the female-identifying gaze in this exhibition centered on the naked body in contemporary photography.

Opened in December 2019, Fotografiska New York is a branch of the Swedish photography museum housed in the Church Missions House, a six-story, 45,000-square-foot Renaissance Revival landmark.

All tickets include entrance fee + a private, guided tour of the NUDE exhibit at 7pm. Full experience tickets also include 1 cocktail OR 1 small plate (including tax/tip - additional food/drink can be ordered and paid separately on site) at Ampersand after the tour.

Museum/tour tickets only: $50 through 4/7; $55 thereafter
Full experience with 1 drink OR small plate (+tax/tip): $80 through 4/7; $85 full price*

More about the exhibit:

NUDE addresses the centuries-long fascination with the naked body, and explores the balance between “the nude” as an idealized form versus an honest, natural, and personal artistic expression. In this exhibition of over 200 works of photography, film, and installation, the viewer receives a comprehensive global view of what the body means, how it is used, and what it tells us about modern society from a female-identifying perspective.

“A celebration of the human form through the lens of female-identifying photographers.”
